Microsoft CRM 3.0 Hosting

Microsoft has made two announcements recently around the provision of hosted Microsoft CRM.

The first of these was around adding Microsoft CRM to the SPLA license. The Service Provider License Agreement allows for per month per user licensing on servers managed by the hosting company.

The second is the creation of the Microsoft CRM solution for Service Providers which integrates with the Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 3.5 platform already used by many providers who host Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint. This allows for quick provisioning of new Microsoft CRM environments.

The benefits of hosting is that customers can quickly get up and running with Microsoft CRM without buying license up front. Later on customers can switch to an on-premise solution. Customers therefore have a choice with Microsoft CRM as to how to buy and deploy Microsoft CRM.
